Shopping Disaster

I went shopping today - an increasingly rare treat for me, especially since I no longer have to worry about shoes - however strangely enough, I just couldn't decide what clothes worked for me. For some reason (other than chocolate cake), I'm not quite as svelte or even as adventurous as I thought I was.

I could feel waves of desperation wafting my way, and just at the point of panic, a young girl complimented on my fab purple boots. Not surprisingly these are my (for the moment) favorite Purple suede boots - which most of you might know as the GALA boots. I suddenly felt rather smug! There's obviously nothing wrong with my sense of style, or my waistline - I just need a few more pointers & some slight adjustments. This train of thought reminded me of a conversation with the 'Ever Fabulous Style Goddess - Caryn Franklin, who always makes dressing up seem so effortless.

A quick look at her website 'www.howtolookgood.com' got me on the right track, and I've pencilled in another shopping date next month. Will keep you posted!

In my opinion I have had a harsh week

In my opinion I have had a harsh week, so to cheer myself up I have lured another pair of boots to the Lloyda testing fund :-). My initial impression of the boots were … not sure about these … but now at the end of the day I KNOW that they are the best thing since sliced bread (I am talking about the Modenas - fab wedge heel !).

So.

Am I fickle ?

On the other hand …

Why are some weeks so difficult – the ever promised delivery (of high heeled boots) hasn’t arrived … but only half the order of the most gorgeous shoes has arrived. Should I be half happy ?

Then (to add insult to injury) the kitchen is leaking … if my husband wasn’t so busy I would bribe him to fix it. Are these more grey hairs I see before me !!!

So (reprise) !!

I, Lloyda, DO DESERVE A NEW PAIR OF BOOTS, if only to wade through the leaking kitchen …

The problem with blogs (I have discovered) is that they will not write themselves.....so i guess I'll just have to fill you in myself.
Well, the fashion news is that the TV programme WHAT NOT TO WEAR are featuring some of our gorgeous Lush Shoes in an episode due out in August 2007. So, keep your eyes peeled guys!
It also seems that our most divine shoe 'Alistair' is being given pride of place in the next issue of COSMOPOLITAN magazine. How fab is that! maybe the world at large is finally getting the message that luscious feet can actually be quite fabulous!
For all those out there who are members of the TALL PERSONS CLUB, look out for a feature on 'yours truly' which is out in the current issue. Please, lets hear your comments. By the way - if you're not a member of the Tall Persons Club, and would like some info - send us an email and we'll forward on their details.
A few of you wanted us to know that Lorraine Kelly (ITV) featured a young teenager on her show last week with size UK11 feet. Most of us understand the traumas of that particular issue - so I'm hoping you guys can do the young lady a favour and pass on our details.....

Lush Shoes is our very own haven of lushness - where we celebrate our large feet by adorning them in gorgeous shoes, beautifully made in vibrant colours.

This is where we come to indulge our senses - to feel good about ourselves.

For those who haven't yet been able to visit us in Bristol, the team felt we could bring some of the atmosphere of our day to day world to you. So we'll try to let you in on some of the secrets, talk you through the less boring bits of the buying process, and keep you updated on our progress.
